BSSC Year 12 student, Sophie Castle, spent two days at St John of God hospital on Structured Workplace Learning, in support of her VET Allied Health studies.
Sophie is interested in nursing and would like to become a Midwife in the future.
“It’s been amazing shadowing the nurses,” Sophie said.
“I got to measure the vital signs of some patients and have been using all the medical terminology that I’ve learned in Allied Health.”
“I loved being in the Maternity Ward the most and it confirms that Midwifery is what I would like to pursue.”
