Next Wednesday, June 14, BSSC students will sit the General Assessment Test from 10.00 am – 1.15 pm.

The GAT is a test of general knowledge and skills in:

  • Written Communication
  • Maths, Science and Technology
  • Humanities, the Arts and Social Studies

These areas are very broad. Each represents a body of general knowledge and skills that students are likely to have built up through their school years.

Students have all been provided with an Individual VCAA GAT Exam timetable, which provides them with the date, time and their room for the GAT. Students have also been provided with a VCAA GAT brochure, which guides them through all of the rules, equipment requirements and expectations regarding the GAT.

Being ‘on time’ for the GAT means arriving outside their exam room 30 minutes before the three hour GAT starts.

Any students who have any queries or are not sure about any of these details need to contact Paul Seery or Michael Lennon promptly.
