Ever wondered what 500 paper planes thrown at the Ulumbarra stage looks like? Local business person and activist Jays Tayeh found out when he addressed Year 12 students at Monday morning’s Pathways assembly.

Jays spoke about being an opportunist, and how being aware of what is going on around you in your community is also being open to opportunity.

Students also heard from last year’s college dux, Sarah Seery about her transition to university and how life has changed for her since graduating from BSSC. There was also advice from Melanie McCarthy and Nicole Sweeney of Costerfield Operations who gave valuable tips for job applications and resumes, and what to expect in life beyond Year 12.

Thanks to all our presenters for their time and inspiration.
