During the school holidays our BSSC adventurers returned from a life-changing trip to Kakadu.

Over the course of 10 days, the group swam in a number of waterfalls in Litchfield National Park, visited the infamous Jim Jim Falls and hiked the Twin Falls Escarpment—plus so much more.

One of the highlights of the trip was spending three days on Country with Mandy Muir and the Murumburr clan, participating in cultural practices, which included traditional burning, dying and weaving.

Another favourite moment was barramundi fishing on the East Alligator River—the group caught over 40 barramundi!

A huge thanks to staff members Sam and Jenny for their work on making the Kakadu 2024 trip so wonderful for our students.

It’s great to have the group back at BSSC and hear all about their big adventure. Check out more photos on Facebook.
