GTM Sister Cities Art Project is offering a really exciting youth arts competition you might like to know about!

GTM is searching local galaxies for talented artists between the ages of 15 and 24 to participate in a series of professionally mentored workshops to create a piece of work that is inspired by this year’s artwork theme INTERSTELLAR.

One artist will then be selected from each region to be launched off to their sister city and have their work featured in the official Sister Cities Art Exhibition at Groovin the Moo.

The Project offers up to 15 young and emerging artists in the Bendigo region the chance to be mentored by professional artist Karen Annett-Thomas and Graphic Designer Louise Fisher.

Participants will design an A1-sized poster inspired by music, art and all things “interstellar”. You will be provided with canvas and all other materials.

Yo Bendigo and Groovin the Moo staff will curate these artworks into an eye-catching exhibition for display at the Bendigo Groovin the Moo event. The completed artworks will also be featured on the Groovin the Moo website, the YO Bendigo website and social media.

Each participant will receive a free pass to attend the festival in Bendigo, while the winning artist, selected by a panel of industry professionals, will receive an invitation to display their artwork at Groovin the Moo in Townsville, with flights and accommodation thrown in.
