The weather was perfect for today’s community luncheon, as part of National Reconciliation Week (NRW) events.

Under sunny skies, BSSC students, staff and members of the wider community gathered in the Ulumbarra Plaza area to connect, reflect, and share stories with each other.

The National Reconciliation Week theme for 2024, Now More Than Ever, is a reminder to all of us that no matter what, the fight for justice and the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will —and must —continue.

Luke Murray welcomed everyone to Country and Luke Owens provided the soundtrack to the event as people of all ages and walks of life engaged in activities and conversation.

A delicious assortment of food, including kangaroo bolognaise, was served to guests by BSSC’s Student Ambassador team.

Thank you to our students and staff who made the event possible, as well as our guests for supporting our students as we work together for reconciliation in our community.
