VET Allied Health students gained valuable hands on experience this morning when they attended a session at the La Trobe Rural Health School Clinical Teaching Building.
Some of the topics covered in the session included:
- Different professions that fall under the Allied Health umbrella
- Proper technique for assisting someone out of a chair using correct technique and procedures
- Helping get someone out of bed using correct technique and procedure
- How to use a free-standing lifting hoist.
