AFL Premier League semi-final
Congratulations to our boys footy team on making the Grand Final of the AFL Premier League competition after defeating Hallam Senior College in the semi-final. It was close for three quarters, with BSSC going into the final quarter with a slender 14-point lead. A brilliant six goals to nil in the final quarter resulted in a 49-point win. The team heads off to Trevor Barker Oval in Sandringham next Wednesday for the Grand Final against Essendon Keilor College. Game time is 12:00pm.

Basketball – Maribyrnong Invitational tournament
Our girls basketball team travelled to Maribyrnong Sports Academy to take part in an invitational tournament. They competed against three other schools with Specialist Sport basketball programs – Maribyrnong, Rowville, and Box Hill. The girls defeated Box Hill 37–34, but went down to Maribyrnong 54–38 and Rowville 59–54. The BSSC team only had 6 available players on the day, so they performed extremely well with a limited bench. Team members were Poppy Blanch, Hayley Harrington, Ahlise Hurst, Jess Rennie, Shardae Sharp, and Lucinda Smythe.
