Former BSSC Art student and Mason Trust recipient, Kaitlin Linke, visited the college on Monday to lead students in a printmaking workshop.

Currently studying Drawing and Printmaking at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, Kaitlin introduced Studio Art students to the techniques involved in lino cuts and printmaking.

“Today’s workshop is about the process rather than the finished work,” Kaitlin said. “It’s a chance for students to experiment and explore something completely new.”

Kaitlin also shared examples of her work with students and talked about the transition from BSSC to tertiary studies.

“It’s all still very new,” she said, “but I love being at the VCA campus and being surrounded by like-minded people.”
