Year 12 student at BSSC, Taylah Gray, recently gained practical insight in the electrical trade through work experience with Tim Miller Electrical.
Taylah has known that she would like to become an electrician for a while and has undertaken work experience with Tim Miller Electrical in the past.
During the week, Taylah was drilling, installing power points and cable trays and wiring houses.
“I worked on a house reno, rewiring a shed which is to become an office—as well as a shipping container conversion,” Taylah says.
The feedback from the employer was that she shows good initiative and gives everything a crack. Taylah felt well supported by the team and enjoyed the hands-on learning.
