The BSSC community celebrated IDAHOBIT today—the day against LGBTQIA+ discrimination.
Our Ally network was established many years ago to increase the inclusivity of the LGBTQIA+ community and to allow everyone at BSSC to better understand the diversity that exists within our college and beyond.
Students and staff joined together in the Plaza at recess to enjoy rainbow cupcakes and make badges with the team from Yo Bendigo. Maree from Headspace was also at the event to chat with students and hand out resources, and our Student Ambassadors were handing out the very popular cupcakes, courtesy of Bendigo Original Pie Shop.
We stand as allies with the LGBTQIA+ community and, collectively, we take a stand against homophobia, biphobia, interphobia and transphobia. Thanks to everyone who dropped by the Plaza today!
