It was an exciting lunchtime today, as onlookers witnessed the annual staff vs students netball clash in the college gym.
With some talented players on both teams, the score was even at half-time; however the staff team gained momentum and confidence as the match went on.
From the quick moves of Juncai Lin, Marie-Louise Fitzpatrick, Elley Marshall, Emila Moss, Annemarie Burgess and Sam Gibbs—to the full stretch arms that could pluck the ball from anywhere of Bridget Chambers, Dean Sheldrick and Matt Kellow—to the safe shooting prowess of Cassie White and, with his controversial sneaky ‘off the pole’ pass, Craig Kelly—the staff team ended up with the win and the coveted trophy. The final score was 8:2.
Congratulations to all the students and staff who got involved and everyone who came along to watch—it’s what ParticipACTION Week is all about.
