In a recent Student Profile, Year 12 student, Leroy Miller, talked enthusiastically about his passion for media and film creation.
Just four days after his profile was published he received an email from JMC Academy notifying him that his short film, ‘Holding On’, has been nominated in JMC’s 12th Annual Martini Awards.
JMC Academy is Australia’s leading private education and training provider for the Music, Film,
Television and Digital Media fields.
The Martini Awards bring student films, animations, documentaries and music videos to a wide audience including industry professionals.
Leroy is one of only six Victorian secondary students nominated in the ‘Mocktail’ category. The awards will be announced in Melbourne on May 26th.
This film is also up for a Raw Arts award in the Digital Media Category—winners to be announced on Thursday May 13th at Bendigo’s Capital Theatre.
