Swimming – Sandhurst Division
Following on from the results of the Sandhurst Division swimming, our competitors also broke a number of records at the event.
Cam Jordan broke the boys 20yr 50m and 100m breaststroke records, Ziggy Lau broke the boys 20yr 100m backstroke record, and the boys medley relay team (Cam, Ziggy, Tom Hawke, Mitch O’Neill) also broke the record.
Victorian All-Schools Triathlon championships
BSSC had two representatives in last weekend’s Victorian Schools Triathlon Championships held at Elwood Beach in Melbourne. In a great result for both competitors, Mitch O’Neill finished second and Kobe Henderson was third in the senior boys division. The event consisted of a 400m swim, 10km ride, and 4km run.
Cricket – Loddon Mallee region finals
The BSSC boys’ cricket team will contest the Loddon Mallee Region finals next Tuesday 12 March at Club Court in Strathfieldsaye. They will compete against Cohuna Secondary College, Mildura Senior College, Kyabram P12 College, and Maryborough Education Centre for a place in the SSV State ¼ finals. Good luck to the team:

Sport Selection Trials
Selection trials for the following sports will take place in the coming weeks:
- Volleyball – Monday 18 March
- Table-tennis – Wednesday 13 March and Wednesday 20 March
- Netball (girls) – Tuesday 26 March, Thursday 28 March, and Thursday 4 April
All selection trials take place in the gym commencing at the beginning of lunchtime (1:00pm).
Lacrosse players wanted
Bendigo Lacrosse Club is seeking players (men and women) for the upcoming season. No previous experience is required, and equipment is provided.

School Sport Victoria – State team trials
Each year, talented Victorian School students have the opportunity to trial for a place in the School Sport Victoria (SSV) Team Vic State team. Selected students participate in annual School Sport Australia (SSA) Championships including the Pacific School Games (PSG) held every second year. These championships offer gifted and talented students the opportunity to participate in higher levels of sporting competition against students from other Australian States and Territories.
