NETBALL GIRLS WIN BFNL AWARDS
Three members of the BSSC girls netball team received Bendigo Football Netball League awards this week. Bree Heiden received the Rising Star Award, Ella Wicks won the league 17 & under Best and Fairest, and Maya Van Es won the league B-reserve Best and Fairest. Congratulations girls!!
RYAN O’KEEFE MAKES STATE CRICKET TEAM
Congratulations to Ryan O’Keefe on being selected in the Victoria Country cricket squad that will contest the Under-17 National Cricket Championships in Queensland later this year. The Championships will be held in Mackay (first week) and Brisbane (second week) from October 1 to 11.
Ryan will also be playing in the BSSC team which will compete in the SSV State Finals on Tuesday 16 October.
LUKE HARTLAND WINS UMPIRES AWARD
Congratulations to Luke Hartland who received recognition at this week’s Bendigo Umpires Association 2018 awards. He won the Most Improved Umpire award for boundary umpires.
Luke has been the boundary umpire for nearly every game of AFL in which BSSC has participated in the past two years.
Great effort Luke, and well deserved.
SOCCER TRIALS – BENDIGO CITY FC
Registrations are now open for Bendigo City FC 2019 squad trials. The trials will be held at the Epsom Huntly Recreation Reserve from 7:00pm to 8:30pm on:

Wed 3 Oct (U/16s & U/18s)
Wed 10 Oct (U/16s & U/18s)
Wed 17 Oct (U/16s & U/18s)
Players are expected to attend a minimum of two trials, but preferably attend all. Trials will be conducted by Stuart Gough and Ryan Pollard.
