CYCLING – VICTORIAN SCHOOLS CYCLING COMPETITION – REGIONAL ROAD EVENT
Bendigo Senior Secondary College had 14 cyclists competing in this week’s Victorian Schools Cycling Competition. This regional event is a qualifying event for the state road finals to be held in Bendigo on Sunday 21 October.
In the U/19M racing event, BSSC students filled all three placings with Sam Buckell first, Connor White second, and Josh Clarke third. Emerson Julian, Will McClure-Wallace and Michael Collier-Clarke also competed in this event.
In the U/19W racing event, Michaela Meharry and Sarah Bateson rode very well to finish second and third respectively.
The U/19M novice event was won by Riley Alcock, with Ash Watson second and Matt Walker-York-Moore fourth.
In the U/19W novice event, Jess Keating was first and Hannah Creely second.
In the U17M novice event, our exchange student Louis Collignon battled hard but finished out of the placings.
SOCCER TRIALS – BENDIGO CITY FC
Registrations are now open for Bendigo City FC 2019 squad trials. The trials will be held at the Epsom Huntly Recreation Reserve from 7:00pm to 8:30pm on:
Wed 26 Sept (U/18’s only)
Wed 3 Oct (U/16’s & U/18’s)
Wed 10 Oct (U/16’s & U/18’s)
Wed 17 Oct (U/16’s & U/18’s)
Players are expected to attend a minimum of two trials, but preferably attend all. Trials will be conducted by Stuart Gough and Ryan Pollard.

If you are interested in participating in a cricket clinic, Lyons Cricket is now offering a specialised cricket clinic in Bendigo on Friday 5 October in the Girton Gymnasium and Londonderry Oval.
