Monday 23 May is GAT Enhancement day. This day is designed to assist students in their preparations for the upcoming General Achievement Test. Everyone who is studying a unit three or four subject must take part.
The day commences with an assembly in the Ulumbarra Theatre at 8:50 am followed by an opportunity, in their usual Advisor Room, for all students to familiarise themselves with the format of the GAT.
The General Achievement Test is a test of general knowledge and skills in the areas of written communication, mathematics, science, technology, humanities, the arts and social sciences. The GAT is an essential part of the VCE assessment procedure and although the GAT results do not count directly towards a student’s VCE results, they do play an important role in checking that school based assessments and examinations have been accurately assessed, and in calculating Derived Examination Scores.
Everyone studying a Unit three or four VCE subject must sit the GAT on Tuesday 7 June, so it is very important for students to be on time and do as well as possible on all parts of it. Further information regarding the GAT will be provided to students on Monday.
