More than 120 students from Bendigo South East College, Weeroona College Bendigo and Crusoe College spent today in and around BSSC enjoying a range of activities as part of a Chinese Language and Culture Day.
Activities included a Kung Fu workshop with Master Liu and Doris Deng from HH Kung Fu Club, a visit to the Golden Dragon Museum, cooking dumplings in the Ulumbarra kitchen, and mini activities such as using chopsticks, and playing Chinese board games.
Many of the students would normally visit China as part of their Chinese Language studies, but Covid had put such plans on hold.
Today’s immersion in Chinese history, culture and cuisine was designed to encourage a sense of connection and enhance language skills.
