Recognising the achievements of NETschool learners is a significant annual celebration for the wider BSSC community.

Last night families, friends, mentors, special guests and award sponsors gathered in the beautiful Ulumbarra Theatre for BSSC’s NETschool Recognition of Achievement evening.

The audience was treated to two musical items: NETschool learner Jaki Irwin-Booth performed ‘Ceilings’ by Lizzy McAlpine—accompanied by Christina Finch and Trevor Reading—later joining forces with fellow learners, Charlotte Rowe and Tyler Flannery-Pollard, to perform ‘Flashlight’ by Jessie J.

While the night celebrated the commitment and accomplishments of all learners, significant annual awards pay tribute to extra contributions and effort eight learners have made.

Ella Dowsey won the Youth Mentor Award.

An inspiring leader and supporter of her peers who lives the NETschool values of trust, optimism and commitment, Ella is a most worthy recipient of the Youth Mentor Award sponsored by State MP for West Bendigo, Maree Edwards.

Cy Dell won a Trailblazer Award
