BSSC Alumna, Emma Black, will take to the stage on the Channel 7 talent show All Together Now this Sunday night.

The singer-songwriter and actress said she went through a series of auditions before getting a chance to face the wall of 100 judges.

“The most daunting part was being first in my heat to perform,” she said. “I was literally first up and it was mildly terrifying to see a huge wall of people but once I started singing it was fine.”

Black has previously auditioned for The X Factor, Australia’s Got Talent, Australian Idol (at age 16) and The Voice. She was ecstatic to get her chance on All Together Now.

“It’s intense to see how everything works behind the scenes,” she said. “I’ve been in front of cameras before but nothing like that.”

Off the back of her All Together Now performance, Black has released a new single (Easy On Me) through iTunes and Spotify. She also has entered a film in the Unscene Film Festival.

“I have been performing at a lot of functions and events,” she said. “But you will see me on some other projects (later in the year) and I will be making more short films and projects as well.

“(When performing) I just love being able to tell a story that immerses people to see reaction from audience. On stage feels like where I’m meant to be.”

Hosted by Julia Zemiro and featuring Ronan Keating, All Together Now airs on Sunday, November 4, at 7pm on Channel 7.
